Rosewood London appoints new Director of Sales and Marketing

A veteran of the travel and hotel sectors has been appointed to lead the sales and marketing department at Rosewood London.

Mike Bonner has amassed over 23 years of experience in the luxury hospitality industry and will now join the London hotel as its new Director of Sales and Marketing where he will provide leadership and strategic direction to its marketing and sales team.

Bonner’s career has seen him hold a variety of senior jobs in travel and tourism including most recently being Vice President of Global Marketing for One&Only Resorts at its global head office in Dubai, while he has also spent five years as the Director of Marketing and Director of Sales and Marketing at the Maybourne Hotel Group.

Prior to this, Bonner served at Silversea Cruises for ten years as the General Manager for the UK and Ireland and also held managerial positions at Celebrity Cruises and Cosmoair.

Elsewhere, Cardiff Airport recently announced that it had appointed Debra Barber as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Barber’s promotion comes five years after she joined the airport as its Operations Director in May 2012 before taking on the role of Interim Managing Director in September 2014 and then Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at the end of 2015.

Her career has also included nearly three decades at the Royal Air Force, where she held various senior positions including being Group Captain as well as leading the Air Traffic Control operation, while she is also a member of the Board of the Airport Operators’ Association and Vice Chair of the Regional and Business Airports Group (RABA).
